Happy Fathers Day!

Today was a special day to celebrate the special daddy in our house.... Dan! We had a fun day in the city ... cold and wet, but still a great day. He loves funny t-shirts... so in the picture he is wearing the newest addition to his collection ... a shirt that reads "No Charge for Awesomeness." ha!ha! How appropriate! You may also notice his new hair cut!

We also received our first organic produce delivery on Friday... beautiful produce that came complete with a new friend... cute little spider. Truly organic!

First Summer Camp

This was the last week of school and also an end to the Girl Scout year. Rylie's Girl Scout Daisy troop had a (1/2) Camp Out to celebrate! We had so much fun and were able to end the night and be in our own beds by 11pm! One of the perks to living where we live... nature is a big part of our community... we have hiking trails, wetlands, birds, frogs, and so much more (maybe even bears) in our backyards. We did not have to go far for a camp out!

I am also including a photo that a friend and neighbor took of Ry and I last week. My friend Jen is a VERY TALENTED photographer and surprised me with this photo today! I was so happy to see it that I had tears in my eyes! So, I had to share. Perfect capture of how happy Rylie makes me! Thank you Jen !!!

* Visiting the zoo in the rain!
* Spending time with Grandma CC, Katie and Mike
* The Girls got to go on an amazing hike on Mt. Hood while I got to go antique shopping!
* We visited Grandma Ball's memorial site and the girls left some beautiful flowers.
* Eating at our favorite place ... por que no!
* Dan and I even got to enjoy an evening out at a favorite place ... DOC.
and so much more!!! We heart Portland!

Happy Summer!!

Today was the last day of Kindergarten for Rylie! It is so hard to believe that her Kindergarten year is already over. I was so sad to see her start Kindergarten and now I am even more sad to think about her being gone ALL DAY to First Grade.... I am really excited to spend some quality time with Rylie this summer.

(I took some pictures before she headed to school... early for her... 8:45 AM... we are not used to meeting the bust until afternoon. So, she is still a bit tired in the pictures, but it was great practice for next school year!)

I am so proud of how much she has learned this year... her report card came today with excellent remarks. She is exceeding expectations in Reading and Math... way to go Ry! We will really work hard this summer keeping up with her new skills.

The whole family participated in making a little gift for Rylie's teacher... an herb garden pot with spoon art! We had fun and Rylie was so proud to give her teacher the gift.

Ella also had her last day of school... ok it was 3 weeks ago, but equally important of course... I was very lucky to be the parent helper and be with her that day at school, so of course I had my camera the entire time. Ella also learned so much... most exciting for me is that she can now write her name.... love it!!! She also has become a very good artist and creates the most amazing pictures!

We will start our first day of summer vacation with a very exciting trip to the dentist for a much needed cleaning! Yeah for Summer!
