Summer Fun!

I can't believe that we are about half way thru our summer vacation. Time flies when you are having fun!

Here a a few highlights ...

* We have just finished 4 weeks of swim lessons everyday! Both girls are improving their skills well. Ella is a Fish... I call her Ponyo... she loves the water. Rylie is not as fond of the water, but is still doing so well!

* A couple of weeks ago our great friends let us take care of their special pet (Birdie) while they were away on vacation. What a treat for us. She is so much fun. The best part is that she loves to listen to Rylie play Violin.

* This week we have VBS all week! This is the first year that both girls were able to participate! They are having so much fun. Ella of course has had to wear her hat ... "pig tails" She says it is her hair and she cannot take it off... even thought it is quite hot for a winter hat. Very Funny!

* We also cleaned out the garage and Rylie found a new skirt that she LOVES! She has been wearing it as much as she can... Cute! This skirt is about 30 years old... mine when I was her age! Nothing like baby blue and pink floral quilted fabric to make a fashion statement.

4th of July!

I can't believe that just a few days ago we celebrated the 4th of July in the RAIN! Cold and rainy was the theme of the day. Now today it is HOT! We spent the day at the pool soaking up the sun!

For the 4th we started our day by attending the Issaquah parade... perfect for us... short and filled with lots of candy. A little bit like Parade style trick or treating! The girls had so much fun gathering up the candy and watching all the cute puppies trot by in red, white and blue. We then visited the festival filled with bouncy houses, pony rides and playground fun!

We then headed to Grandma and Grandpa B's for their annual BBQ. This year was a little wet and cold, but we were still able to see some great fireworks displays.

Here are a few pic's of the day.
